IGT TACK TESTER |
|||
|
After a long and very extensive test and trail period IGT introduces a complete new device to measure the internal tack of inks and other pasty liquids according to ISO 12634. The device is available in different versions and with different options. Standard it is supplied with a roller set for conventional drying inks. The device is the ideal replacement for all older tack measurement devices in the field because of its compatibility, easy cleaning, very easy operation, very easy calibration but most of all because of the very high repeatability, accuracy and long term stability. |

Because of the enclosed roller system there is no more pollution around the instrument and no suction chamber is required. An additional advantage is that the roller temperature and thus the tack is no more dependent on the air currents in the lab. AIC2-5T2000 |

|
The well-known AIC2-5 got a complete new engine! Not only did it get a face-lift but all electronics have been replaced by modern digital controls, digital read-out and push-button operation and presetting. An additional major improvement is the single-phase 115/230V operation. Also the printing disc holders have been changed, they are now compatible to most of the Global Standard Tester discs with their advantages of better alignment to the middle of the sector, light weight and force independent alignment of the print. |

Additional there have been made some changes in the accessories to make these more user friendly in mounting and use. |

Heliotest: No more template required to position the doctor blade holder shaft (for old and for new AIC2-5 versions) Heliotest disc prints in the middle of the sector for easier positioning of the sample |
Gravure: Based on the Heliotest adapter now the print is made using a gravure disc instead of the old gravure plates, which have to be mounted on the sector. A large range of printing formes is available. Very easy to clean the disc and the doctor blade. The doctor blade is self-adjusting, so no more long lasting procedure to position the blade on the sector. |

DOMAS |

Currently we are in the process of integrating the DOMAS, Digital Optical Measurement and Analysis System, developed by PTS, Papier Technische Stiftung, from Germany into our range of products. DOMAS is a range of software modules to measure and analyse different paper properties. The focus will be for the moment the Mottling Analysis module and the Heliotest and Missing Dots Modules. All other modules are also available through IGT. |

All DOMAS modules are started from a simple start dialog box where all relevant parameters may be defined as required. The settings may be saved and reloaded. Just click on the start button to trigger the analysis. The analytical results are recorded and visualized in an EXCEL TM spreadsheet for further processing. If you use the DOMAS System in the Laboratory Mode, no special operator training is needed. This mode is intended for routine analyses. Just select the desired module and the set of parameters for the applied image source (e.g. scanner, video camera) and for the analysis. Then start the analysis. When shifting to the Administrator Mode, you may optionally combine the modules in the laboratory account to meet the particular needs of your company. |

| IGT F1-UV | |||
| New
developments for the ink industry. IGT developed an on-line UV drying
system on the F1 Flexo tester. In this system the UV source is situated
such that curing occurs almost instantly after printing. In this way no
loss of gloss appears.
The main features of this system are: exchangeable light source, low ozone or no ozone versions, high curing power in combination with fast response and low temperature increase, internal ventilation with very low noise. The system is fully CE compliant. |

TRAINING |

IGT offers the possibility of hands-on training for users of the IGT testers. This can be arranged on individual base, dedicated to the needs and problems of each single user or during the trainings seminars organised four times per year in Amsterdam and Arlington Heights or on location if there is sufficient demand. IGT Testing Systems can provide preventive maintenance and calibration services for all testers in the field. This can be done in Amsterdam by our team of engineers or on site by our IGT Field Service Representative. Check on our representative list if calibration services are available through your local IGT representative. Contact our sales department for information on yearly or bi-yearly on-site preventive maintenance schedules by our field service representative. IGT also organises in co-operation with its representatives, at regular intervals, service tours in different parts of the world where a list of users is visited.
